Thought piece Thursday #59 - What happens once you reach FIRE? + talk about them (check out a great blogger)

Welcome to another month's talk about them and boy do we have a special guest for you today. More on that later though, first of all let's talk about what happens once you FIRE!

While Financial Independence will mean something different for everyone, generally what it will look like for people will fall into 3 broad categories:

Travel - This is a massive one for the Money Glee team, we love and enjoy checking out new places. Travel is one of the things where you can learn significant amounts from through interacting with people who may have different thoughts, ideas and interests.

Business and / or giving back - While travelling and spending time with friends and family are great, if you've achieved FIRE you're probably a type A person who has a significant amount of drive and ambition. Whether it be through running a business you are passionate about or working at a for purpose business it is likely business and or volunteering will form a part of your life.

Spending time with friends and family - Imagine being able to walk your kid to school, dropping them off on their first day. Even being able to play golf with your buddy on a weekday or going to the movies with your girl or boyfriend. FIRE gives you the flexibility to do this and will likely form part of what will happen once you reach it.

Perhaps FIRE to you will mean catching up on some reading

Perhaps FIRE to you will mean catching up on some reading

What do you plan on doing once you reach FIRE? What does it mean to you?

What we're continuing to do here at Money Glee is to continue acknowledging people in the personal finance (PF) & occasionally the broader blogging community, who are doing awesome & cool work!

We want to keep paying it forward & giving more back, so every second Thursday of the month there'll be a talk about them post.

This month we have one of the guys who is one of the founders of the lifestyle business movement and how appropriate with us talking about FIRE. Without further adieu this month here's Tim Ferriss over at the 4 Hour Work Week. If you haven't heard of Tim, have you genuinely been living under a rock? In all seriousness though Ferriss focuses on deconstructing the world class in a whole bunch of different fields and Money Glee is a big fan of his methods.

We'd love to thank everyone reading, be grateful for all of the comments, likes, shares etc and ask that if there are any topics you'd like to read about related to personal finance or life, hit us up.

If there is someone you read who we should be checking out let us know.

Any questions, comments you had about personal finance definitely let us know as well :). Remember to live your Money Glee!
